2 Port RS422 & RS485
USB to RS232 Serial Using Terminal Block
Industrial RS232 Serial Converters often will use a Terminal Block connection incorporated into its design, this is meant to also employ the use of RS422 or RS485 signals to compatible serial equipment. A Specification Difference Table is available that explains the differences between the tree types of serial signals. Terminal Block wiring can be two or four wire configuration while DB9 serial connectors are available to carry Data through its cable.
Using DIN-Rail mounting and Screw-Lock
USB Industrial Serial Adapters convert or transmit serial signals from its serial connection and into you host computer. The way in which the adapter/converter is secured is important within an industrial environment because of setup, movement, or cable access. A DIN-Rail Mounting method is the best way to secure your communication hub and it cables to not only make sure the hub is stable but to also ensure that accidental disconnect in signal does not occur. Industrial hubs will generally incorporate Screw-Locks in their design to secure Data Cables, loss of signal becomes difficult in the middle of transmission, the Screw-Locks prevent this from happening.
